The Band
Sad Academy is an emo alternative rock band founded and based in Orlando FL. The quintet consists of lead vocalist/lyricist Zach Thomas, lead guitarist Dylan Intriago, drummer Caleb LaBarre, bass/pianist Peter Hurston, and rhythm guitarist Nicolas Ravain. Emerging during the emotionally taxing time that was the covid-19 pandemic in summer of 2020, vocalist Zach Thomas and guitarist Dylan Intriago founded Sad Academy. Completing the puzzle with Peter, Nic, and Caleb, the band went on to begin playing shows, quickly becoming a local favorite amongst the local Orlando FL emo scene. Their first single "Where Do We Go?" was released on November 24th 2023 along with the announcement of their debut album "Playing With Ghosts". Aspiring to carry the torch of emo music into the next generation, Sad Academy hopes to be a voice for the voiceless. Hoping to heal and connect with people through the beautiful power of vulnerability and music.
